David Quade
David Quade has been in the National Real Estate Industry and Capital Markets for over 50 years. Over the past 24 years he has held Executive Positions with Berkshire ($30 billion AUM) and its owner, the Krupp Family Office. While at Berkshire, Mr. Quade took Berkshire Income Realty (NYSE) public and as President directed it from 2005 to 2015. In addition, Mr. Quade headed up Berkshire’s Institutional investor capital raising for many years and earlier served as Executive V.P. and CFO.
From 1981 to 1999, Mr. Quade held various positions with Leggat McCall Properties including Principal, Executive V.P. and Chief Financial Officer of this $1.0 billion company. In addition, during the period of 1991 to 1994, Mr. Quade also served as Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to that, Mr. Quade worked as Chief Financial Officer for two New York Stock Exchange listed real estate investment trusts (REIT’s), North American Mortgage Investors (nine years) and Equitable Life Mortgage Investors (three years). He also worked at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP (now known as Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP), an international accounting and consulting firm.
Mr. Quade served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army for three years. This included serving on special assignment with the Atomic Energy Commission for the identification of underground nuclear testing for the test ban treaty with the USSR.
Mr. Quade received a PAP Advanced degree from Northwestern University Graduate School of Business. Prior to that he received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration degrees from Central Michigan University.
Locally, Mr. Quade was recognized as Chairman for leading the effort to capital raise and build the new 95,000 s.f./$24 million Lynch/VanOtterloo YMCA in Marblehead/Swampscott, the largest YMCA in New England.
Mr. Quade and his late wife Susan have two children and have lived in Marblehead, Massachusetts since they were married in 1972.
