Khalid Quadir
Mr. Khalid Shahidul Quadir, has over 20 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and entrepreneurship. He is the current Managing Partner of BMA, a private equity fund with large European institutions as the limited partners, which exclusively invests in Bangladesh. He was the immediate past CEO and Managing Partner of Brummer & Partners (Bangladesh) Ltd, which managed The Frontier Fund, ae PE fund dedicated to Bangladesh, deploying growth equity in high growth businesses in Bangladesh. The investors in his funds range from large European family offices and financial institutions and some are European government owned fund of funds. He led the investment team in raising the capital, deploying the fund and secured successful exits.
He co-founded Gonofone, a New York based company, which was the founding partner of GrameenPhone, the largest mobile phone operator in Bangladesh. He also founded and managed a Bangladesh wireless broadband operator.
Recently, he has founded LexData Labs, a Boston based venture which provides data validation services for AI models to startups and traditional businesses, which are working on AI/Computer Vision technologies to improve their operational efficiencies and predictabilities.
Mr. Quadir is a graduate of Middlebury College, Vermont and was awarded a fellowship at Stanford University, California in 2004. Occasionally, he has been serving as a Professor of Practice at Middlebury College and offering courses on investment opportunities in the frontier markets.
